An INTERVIS is a cylindrical part obtained by successive screw-cutting operations. These operations are designed to produce an external thread as well as an internal thread. The INTERVIS also has a longitudinal slot which enables it to be installed by self-tapping. In this way, INTERVIS can be assembled into a component, either to reinforce it or to enable the assembly of a second component using a screw which will be secured in the insert's thread.
