Plastic insert

Product
A plastic insert is a cylindrical part produced by successive screw-cutting operations. The aim of these operations is to obtain a precise external profile, such as knurling, grooving, flattening and internal threading. In this way, the threaded insert can be assembled into a plastic component, either to reinforce it or to enable a second component to be assembled by means of a screw which will be secured in the thread of the insert. Plastic inserts can be overmolded, hot-molded, ultrasonically bonded, screwed or simply pressed into place, in the same way as a pin.
