Plastic insert

Product
A plastic insert is a cylindrical part obtained by successive turning operations. These operations aim to obtain a very precise external profile such as knurling, grooves, a flat surface, as well as an internal thread. Thus, the threaded insert can be assembled into a plastic component in order either to reinforce it and or to allow the assembly of a second component using a screw that will join into the tapping of the insert. Different types of installation exist for plastic inserts, such as overmolding, hot installation, ultrasonic installation, screwing or simply pressure: mode identical to that of a pin.
