Spacer

Product
A spacer is a rigid cylindrical part that can have 3 functions. The first is to link two others and keeps them in a fixed distance. The second consists in an operation of centering or aligning 2 components, in this case the external diameter of the spacer must be very precise in the order of about ten microns. Finally, the third function, called compression spacer, aims to reinforce a component that is usually inferior in strength to the spacer, i.e. plastic. In the second and third functions, the spacer is said to be hollow, that is to say that a screw passes through its internal diameter, which may also be the case for the first function.
