The fluted pin is a so-called elastic pin due to the production of 3 splines at 120°. These splines, whose diameter is greater than the housing in which the pin is mounted, will be closed to apply radial tension. This optimizes and secures the pin in its housing (s). Different types of splines exist according to an ISO standard. Depending on the requirements, the definition of splines must be adapted.
